Wolfsonian-FIU Museum
The Wolfsonian collection contains artifacts primarily of North American and European origin, dating from 1885–1945. It comprises a variety of media: furniture; industrial-design objects; glass, ceramics, and metalwork; rare books; periodicals; ephemera; works on paper; including architectural drawings, posters, and fine art prints; paintings; textiles; and medals. The nations most comprehensively represented are the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Russia/Soviet Union. The objects are interpreted to explore key issues in design history - the way design has both altered and been altered by cultural change, industrial innovation, and strategies of persuasion.

Bass Museum of Art
The Bass Museum Salon of Western Art is inspired in part by the Paris Salon, pre-eminent throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. There, paintings were exhibited floor-to-ceiling, on every available inch of space, as artists vied for the public's attention. Our salon is ordered chronologically, by geography, and national region, and is centered on the outstanding artists who founded schools through their students or influence: Albrecht Dürer, Sandro Botticelli, Domenico Ghirlandaio, Peter Paul Rubens, Gerard Seghers and Ferdinand Bol. The exhibition thus follows the broader sweep of Western history of art, beginning with the overall patterning, texture, and detail of late medieval art, through the heightened naturalism and individuality of the Renaissance and into the Baroque's vivid forms and direct address to the beholder

Art Basel Miami Beach
